I was considering buying this item to data log. I have a friend who's daughters house seems to be having many appliances failures. He has measured voltage numerous times and when it is being checked it rides about 118. I had him call the power company to check their end first. In my region it is common to have a bad POCO neutral connection. I work in industrial, and our loggers cost around 10k, I thought perhaps someone had a comment on this low-cost model. Or one you had good experience with.

The Emporia is my team's preferred consumption monitoring device.

Another device to look at is the Ting sensor from WhiskerLabs. Here's the weekly report from one of our sites.

have you looked at SENCE
Yes.

They have an interesting take on determining the loads.

It has issues with determining what loads are. According to the one I have, there are 6 air conditioners. I’ve got one. I do give it a thumbs up on the dehumidifier. It found and identified it correctly.

I have one in my house along with the Emporia.

I think Schneider bought Sense.
