As a project in charge I maintain that groupings and separation from each system is carried out by the contractor. Now what happened is that the client wants to utilize only one cable tray for all system(Data/Telephone/FDAS/PAS vs Small Power/Lighting circuits),.. can anyone please tell me specific provision of the code that will support my position...many thanks

Not a great article for you but

800.53 Lightning Conductors. Where practicable, a separation
of at least 1.8 m (6 ft) shall be maintained between
communications wires and cables on buildings and lightning
conductors.

Dennis, that section is lightning conductors, not lighting conductors.

Op, check 760.136, 800.136.

Eta: if one EC is doing all the wiring, I supposed that 1 cable tray, if code permissible, wouldn't be a giant mess. As someone who did the voice data video in commercial projects for years, I would not want to be anywhere near the electrician's circuits nor the fire alarm cable. It may be cheaper in the long run to have at least two trays so you don't have everybody working on top of each other . Just my two cents
