Some notes:
In 1947 the NEC required the laundry outlet in dwelling units to be a "3-pole type designed for grounding". 1947: 2124b.

This was expanded in 1956 to "open porches, breezeways, garages, and the like which may supply equipment to be used by persons standing on the ground". 1956: 2124b.

In 1959, type AC was required to have "an internal bonding strip of either copper of aluminum in intimate contact with the armor for its entire length". 1959:334-2(b).

1962 brought about the requirement for branch circuits to "include or provide a grounding conductor to which the grounding contacts of the receptacle or cord connector shall be connected. 1962:210-7.

I'll take some wild guesses:

Knob and Tube.... <1860's There is a lot of it still in use here.

RSC... Pre-dates electrical, there are homes where gas line was re-used for pulling in wire. And seems to be where the practice of bending came from, gas line from that time also had what we refer to as shepard hook bends at ceiling light fixtures.

EMT....

Cloth NM or Romex.... Cloth late 40's, romex 50's

grounded 3 wire branch circuits..... Late 40's

6 switch rule.... Chicago fire I assume

Common circuit breaker.............. Edison patent in 1879, not in wide use until the late 50's

Hickey............. Crow foot, or the type you bend with? Both predate electrical with use in gas lighting.

GUA............ $$$$

Medium base lamp Also called the "edison base" 1909

Mogul base lamp............ 1909

wax string half hitches........... Knots also seem to pre-date electrical.

The house I live in was constructed in a factory in 1943 & was wired w/ cloth covered NM cable.(Cable has been out of service for about 29 years now).Panels were SQ D Multibreakers.
