DB Cat 5 mess

What do you LV guys use to clean that DB goo when you work with this stuff? Terminated 8 cables and certainly wasn't prepared for the slippery stuff. Under bid this one.

I just use a handy rag.
I've never seen a telco guy ever use anything else.

I agree with the handy rag and hope the cable doesn't terminate in a finished area. The goo can 'pump' (contract/expand) with temperature change and make a terrible mess. Don't ask me how I know. :rant:

I've seen guys in the past use something by Polywater. Seemed to work.

Just Google "Icky Pic remover" & stuff will come up.....don't know of the availability
