DC Conductor protection

Hi,
I am running DC conductors from one roof area to another on the outside of a home - can the conductors be ran in PVC ? Note: there will be a pull box (non-metallic) on each end of the conduit. Is there a code reference that allows this ?

690.31 permits any valid wiring method that's covered by the code to be used for PV conductors. So yes, it's fine by code.

That said, PVC may not be rated for the temperature on the rooftop. There have been cases of degradation. Industry standard practice is to use EMT.
