In a battery build for a UPS there is placed 1 dc fuse in the positive and 1 dc fuse negative pol. The battery voltage is nominel 480 Vdc ( charge voltage is 554 Vdc),
The fuses are rated at 440 Vdc. 400 A
I have asked the supplier of the system if those fuses are correct, due to the voltage rating on the fuses are lower then the system voltage.
I was given the answer that when there are fuses in both negative and positive poles, it is two fuses in series and there for the nominel voltage across one fuse would be 240 Vdc and it was the correct fuses
I have some trouble finding documentation for this. so I am hoping one here can give me explanation or maybe tell me if it is correct
