A client of mine bought an older home which he plans to refurbish and resell. Unfortunately, aluminum wiring is used throughout the house and he wants to ladd light fixtures and switches to existing circuits. Do any of you know of a reasonable way to do this other than running new copper circuits? Also, he wants to change out existing light fixtures, but the fixtures he has procurred have fixture wires with no identification as to whether or not they are suitable for use with aluminum wiring. Is there a reasonable solution for the fixture problem.

Usually when we retro houses like this we use strictly crimp on / stake-on connectors, e.g. yellow fork crimps. My personal opinion is to stay away from looping the conductors around screws.
