It certinly is! I had the same notice with EBAY, it looked very real. The folks at EBAY said, never, never use an email link to access their service! Or anyones! You could be redirected to a fake. Also that EBAY will never ask for a password or pin number to your money accounts. The best way is to ALWAYS use your browser to go directly to their web site.

The real shame of this is that some people will fill out all this info and blame their credit card company for false charges.

I never give out personal info to those that come to me asking for it by phone, e-mail, drawings at trade shows or malls, snail mail or any means they can conceive of to get your personal info.

wolfman,

Yes, it did look very real. I was notified last week about it from someone else, so I was immediately suspicios (spelling?). It had a PayPal Logo and links and seemed to come from from a PayPal Email address.

Some information I was able to find talked about similar recent "PayPal" emails being linked to execute a virus, so maybe that would be the outcome here, I'm not sure.

If anyone is interested in seeing it:
here's the (disabled) Email

I was going to respond to this request, if I wasn't so busy dealing with the money transfer from Nigeria. :D

Thanks for info. Regarding the Nigerial Scam, its sad that some folks will belive it, of course it only takes one or two out of millions sent. Its pretty obviously a scam. If the sender used lower case and better wording it would be less obvious....

I Emailed the person in Nigeria, telling him I turned the letters over to the Secret Service and Interpol, He called me a "stupid American goat".

To me this was a step above him, so I took it as a compliment.
