OK codeites....we are being asked to install a wall sconce custom manufactured by Rambusch Lighting.
The fixture will have a 6' tail on it from the manufacturer.
They are specifying that we install these fixtures on an LB condulet in a plaster/terra cotta wall.
The design is to install conduit from the bottom of the LB down to a remove junction box in an unobtrusive location.
They want us to plug the back hole.
The LB will be flush mounted in the wall (by the plasterers).
I do not have any mounting information, so I do not know if they intend to secure the fixture to the wall or directly to the condulet.
They are citing 410.14(A) and 410.67(C) as allowing this wiring method.
They completely ignore Article 314 and the support issues...
Anyone ever deal with this situation? Any ideas? Concerns? Worries?
