NEC Article 100, definition of Outlet states; ?A point on the wiring system at which current is taken to supply utilization equipment.?

My question is; Would this mean everything current passes through, example 1 circuit breaker, 1 switch, 1 light = total of 3 outlets.

Re: Definition of Outlet

darren,
Only the light is at an outlet in your example. The switch and cirucit breaker are not "utilization equipment?. The outlet is the point where the cirucit is conneceted to the equipment that will use the electrical energy.
