The term "delta rated breaker" is sometimes confused with breakers that are good, rated to be used, for delta systems. For example, straight rated 240v, 480v, and 600v ratings on the nameplate means it is suitable for used on either a delta or wye system of that rating. Remember that the lower voltage rating of a "slash" rated breaker such a 120/240, 277/480, represents the maximum voltage rating phase to ground such as a 120/240, 208y/120, 480y/277, etc.
However, one must be cautioned when applying breakers on a corner grounded delta system such a grounded 'B' phase in that the interrupting rating may be greatly reduced.
