480 new service, this is a ground mount for a dairy farm, with 2 tracking system sunlink. I think it is a flawed design to have your trackers run on 240 volt no neutral. We have primary H1 H2 H3 secondary X1 x2 x3 and x 4 neutral. X 3 is high leg, the plan is to only hook up x1 and x2 to a single phase subpanel and not use x3. There is only two 2 pole trackers so there is now way to balance loads. Will this work

My only observations are:
1. You need to properly ground X4 (N) in the inverter side whether the inverters or trackers use Neutral or not.
2. Why go to the expense of a three phase transformer when you are only using one phase?
Or are there other three phase or balanced loads on the same secondary?

How many trackers?

If you connect the secondary to a 3Ø panel, x2-x3 and x3-x1 are also 240 volts. Using only x1 and x2 will require a slightly oversized transformer (kVA rating). Better off using a 480V:240V 1Ø transformer.
