Is there a demand factor for condensing units or they need to be calculated at 100% I got 36 -40 amp condensers going on a roof need to run a riser 6 stories to feed them all

Sure there is , they're are different for different types of buildings. 220, 440 & chapter 3 and beyond...
What are you wiring? A motel?

I really lack in demand factor situation can some point me in the direction of where to start and I'd really like to figure it out on my own I'm reading 220.82 it's saying 100%

Sorry for the repeat posts maybe a mod can join them, but according to 440.43 I'm reading add them all up plus 25% of the largest size motor I cone up with 1282.17 amps.with ACS do you treat them as motors and round up to the standard if 1600 amps or round down to 1200

Are those currents the minimum circuit ampacity or the actual loads? If they are the minimum circuit ampacity, each already has 25% of the largest load in the unit added in.
You would work with the actual load to size the feeder. You can't round the feeder circuit down.

They are the mca so basically I just add them all together and get my load fuse it at the next highest standard size and run my conductors for the calculated load not for the fuse size

My plan was to run a 1200 a riser and then branch off into 6-200a ckts tapping each unit onto a 3/0 with number 8s
