Hi guys,

I'll be wiring 25 induction cooktops in a restaurant dinning area. This is a hot-pot style restaurant where people do the cooking themselves at the table. These cooktops are rated 1800w 120v. Can I apply the demand factor for the feeder and sub-panel from 220.56 in this application? If so, how are the load calculation for perform for all phases and the neutral?

I think you can use 250.56: 1800 * 25 *.65 = 29,250 KVA.

I'm not so sure you can reduce the neutral. The 70% factor is only for household or teaching cooking equipment. You're not over 200A which would be the other permitted reduction. The exact value allowed for the neutral will depend on whether this is a 208/120 3-phase or 240/120 single phase feeder.
