If you use 220.14(K)(2) to calculate the receptacle load for a bank (1va/sq ft) because the number of receptacles is not known, do you apply Table 220.44 to the total? I keep going from 220.12 to 220.14(K) to 220.44 to 220.14(I). I can not find a definitive answer. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Bouncing back and fourth it looks as if you need to use 220.14 K 2 then calculate from table 220.44.

In my opinion, the answer is no. You cannot apply table 220.44 to the load calculated in 220.14(K)(2). 220.44 says this table only applies to loads calculated per 220.14 (H) & (I).

I used to think you could apply table 220.42 to receptacle loads calculated at 1 va/sq ft, but it like the 2008 code has changed that (or clairified that you can't do that). Anyhow, that table wouldn't apply to a bank anyway.
