In a dental office or care area is there any code that sez you cant mix lighting and wall receptacles on the same circuit? And would you need battery backup lighting if they do not totally sedate paitents.Just use laughing gas? Thanks for any insight.

If the medical gas used for sedation and not anesthetizing 570.63 may not apply, but I think NFPA 99 requires it. I do a ton of dental offices, and the plans always show emergency lighting in the operatory rooms.
