Need to flush mount a VisiCom Transceiver in a dentist office. This is a replacement for the original unit. Original had a remodel box containing a receptacle for the wall wart to plug and the female end of the chord tucking into the box as you inserted the unit. New model has a different face plate, and the female end of the chord when plugged in doesn't allow the unit to fit in the box. A different remodel box isn't shown. If i modify the top of the original box i can make it work, would that violate having the chord in the wall if i cut a slot in the box to allow the female end more room. Apparently their tech just left the plate and said this is what we have.
