The Home Depots I have been involved with used that method for the RTUs.

I'm sure you know they use that method for the whole store practically. A few big runners from the electric room to strategically placed wireway throughout the store.

Well Larry will like to know that last few Lowe's the company did had feeders run out to a few small section of bus duct in key locations. On the bus ducts they have us install a few breaker enclosures that after we leave will be used to supply 're-loc' MC drops to store fixtures.

So essentially they have found a way to ceiling mount a breaker panel.

I've noticed those. (Gee, what a surprise, walking around Lowes looking at all the wiring ;) )

I see pros and cons to those. Much less wire/conduit for home runs, and the OCPD is located near the actual load. Accessibility might be a problem though.
