IN A SINGLE PHASE120/240V SERVICE when you run into a senario where you need to derate
DO YOU count the neutral conductors as current carrying ?

Also how did you determine conductor fill?
Is this a raceway between two panels or junction box?

BTW Phil, the comment' "Is this a raceway between two panels or junction box?", indicates that you are dealing with a raceway and not a nipple. If a conduit is over 24", it is no longer a nipple. :)

Based on the 2002 NEC, is installing NM cable in a raceway (not for the reason of physical protection) permitted?
I have heard this issue is being addressed in the 2005 NEC, has anyone else heard of this?
I am also interested in how conductor fill was calculated for this installation.
