does anyone out there know of a formula to make derating easier?ive taken the code update class and the subject wasnt even touched.which i think is wrong because alot of people are confused (including me)when it comes to derating .im trying to find answers. thanks

There is no formula and there are many ways that one must derate. Do you understand when you need to derate?

I've not seen a formula. Pehaps because there are so many things to consider... ambient temperature from 310.15(B)(6); conduit fill from 310.15(B)(2)(a); neutral condcutor from 310.15(B)(4) + others.
