Despard switches

I need to install a switch in a door jam the typical door switch will not work french doors generally open. Despard switches, what kind of box could I use that would not be wider than 1.5 inches, pass and seymoure shows a despard switch with a plate that is 1.3125'' wide. I would like to recess the switch into the jamb so the door could open and close.

Resess the Despard switches without a box, run low voltage to them, and have them switch contactors for the higher voltage.
