Industrial occupancy, don't believe I need a transformer disconnect as I'm covered with a lockable feeder breaker per 450.14.

However, questioning whether I need a disconnect per 225.31 for disconnecting means of the ungrounded conductors that supply the dethatched structure.

Thought the fused disco for my 480V tap & the main panelboard breaker would satisfy 225.31 & 225.32, but after looking through article 225 I'm not sure.

Any help is appreciated, thank you! example.JPG

Would the installation qualify under 225.32 Exception 1 ??

I’m uncertain of what exactly 225.31 ex 1 means by “safe switching procedures” in “documented safe switching procedures are established, maintained, and monitored by qualified persons”.

the owner does have restricted access, LOTO and maintenance by qualified persons.

Similarly we using 430.102 exception for industrial occupancies with written safety procedures that ensure that only qualified persons will service the motor, to reduce the number of impractical local disconnect switches. So I would imagine 225.31 ex 1 would be applicable as well?
