I don`t have a test report of the x`mer which the eractor given at the time of installation. Please, help me to find out the deterirotion of the x`mer. X`mer is installed in the year 1990.

The best answer to the WAY OPEN question is to hire a firm that specializes in electrical testing and maintenance and have them test this puppy.

Is there something that has happended that is leading you to believe there is a problem? A transformer less than 10yrs old should still be capable of full capacity for another 20-25yrs.

If there are no indicators that a problem occurred, simply have an oil sample tested, and go from there.

If the transformer has been running at less than its rated kVA and the ambient is fairly low, the life expectancy would be very high. On the other hand, running close to its rated kVA, maybe some harmonics, and the ambient is fairly high, the life expectancy would be very low. Basically, it depends on how the transformer was treated and, I suspect, you don't know the answer to that question. :)
