Determining height of mast.

How would one fiqure out sag in an overhead run.
I don’t know tension either.
I need to keep 18’ over a driveway. One side is 26’ heigh trying to fiquire out how high to make my mast on other side. Spans about 150’
2” Imc on both sides
 
You might find something on the rural electrification site..they have a number of calculations shown there.

I actually have a similar situation coming up. I've googled around and found some charts, but haven't really dug into it yet. It is not immediately clear to me how to use these charts. What is HLT?

Thanks for that chart. I remeasured my space seems at 30% with 2 triplex I got about a 30" sag. have to keep it under 24" so being other side is 26' and I am going to 20' I am cutting it close lol
 
Just don't forget that as you reduce the sag of the span you increase the load on the supports. Our utility only permits a 125' span from a 2.5" mast with 2 AWG aluminum triplex.
 
I tried call my poco and see if one of the engineers knew the HLT she did not, but she going to look in her book tomorrow “ possibly “.
I normally don’t do overhead conductor span now I know why lol
 
If you need 18' foot its best to shoot for 20'.
You can work out the sag close on the ground with rope or mule tape.
