Can you give me sample calculation or formula for calculating the DG set rating for purchase. Voltage level and power requirement is available with us. Power requirement is calculated considering load and demand factor.

We require this information to for calculating the DG set capacity for our overseas project.

If you already know the voltage level and the required amount of power, then you have the DG ratings. Generators are rated in terms of Kilowatts of power at a given power factor (usually 0.8), and at a specific voltage level. From that information, you can obtain the power rating in terms of KVA by taking the KW value and dividing by the power factor.
