Diesel Generator 2500KVA location

I am designing the electrical installation for an agricultural industry, and it will require a 2500kVA generator. Inside the building, there is no space for a generator room, so it must be installed outdoors.

I am having trouble finding the requirements for the location, in addition to the workspace clearance and the concrete pad required by the manufacturer.

I would like to know if there are any specific requirements, for example: a certain distance away from mechanical equipment, proximity to water sources, or distance from the building.

I don't recall anything relevant in the NEC, but the building and fuel codes will have requirements. I'd expect the mfg to have reference drawings for installing something that large.

I believe it is NFPA 37 that indicates the minimum separation distance from the engine housing is 5 ft to any opening in an adjacent building and 5 ft to any structure

Make sure the exhaust is more than 10' from any air openings in the building. Even at 10', it depends on wind direction. It should be farther if you can do it.
