low voltage contact, where injury does not occur at contact site but in other areas of the body. symptoms range from physical, such as fatigue, to psychological, such as personality changes.

The most important thing to remember in this whole article is that it contains the word "lawyer" and the phrase "expert witness". That should tell you a lot. It does not mean there is no such thing as DEI, but it does mean someone is trying to get money for a condition that the scientific and medical community is not even sure exists.

Part of the deal in creating the persona of an expert witness is to get his name into what appear to be objective publications. It gives what the "expert" says the appearance of having some credibility.

Any of you guys ever cook a hot dog with 120v?
Just connect each wire of a cord to a nail, push each end into the hot dog and plug it in.. A few moments later you've got a nice "hot " dog.

We'll ya think that cannot happen to people well then go ahead and try this on yourself. Tell me how you feel later after your joints have been cooked. And its hard to move cause of the pain. tell me how you feel when your muscles fire off by themselves, the cramping and fatique that results..
Then ask yourself why they called a Lawyer.

This stuff Exists...

You don't need to experience it in order to tell if it does.

This happend to me . I did not Hire a lawyer. After all the aggravation aside from the injury that resulted I should have hired one.

I was victim to a subcontractor with Faulty electrical. I came in contact between a Steel wall and a steel girder of a building. The new steel wall was live to an improper installation and a short to the ungrounded steel wall. Because I was actually grabbing on to the girder to reposition myself on a ladder My hands were firmly grasping on the live components. I could not let go. My hands were moist from a hot swetty day, The steel still had that oil film on it . I was fortunate that somone down below broke the connection..
This was before GFCI protection on construction sites were mandatory. Its been many years since then I still have reaccuring problems related to the injury.

Since this happend nobody an my sites use cords without GFCI if a premanent one is not available.

Subs need to watch out for me now.. I carry a set of clippers that love to cut defective cords.. Or I'll just turn off the power. I't's one thing to get injured on your own. It's another when it's at the hands of another.

Sparky,
Thank you for telling us your story here. Some (not all) think it can't "Happen-to-me", until it happends or "hits-closer-to-home".
Up over and beyond the pain, hardship and agony to you AND YOUR FAMILY, you were fortunate enough to go back to work.
Just my $.02
