Would like to install a digital Counter for a Load shed of generators. Triggering Shunt trips of Main ( Certain equipment)for removal from generators (drop out).

Load shed is 120 volts to shunt trip. I would have to tap off Main 480volts to install transformer, To feed this counter in MCC. Any counter suggestions. Im tryng to get specs on these. Grainger don't have good specs. Trying a major brand

Load shed

Load shed

what is it you are trying to count?

I am curious what is shutting off main. Is it tripping sometimes. Or is load shed calling for it to drop out. I will hook to load shed Wiring,(shunt trip) and if it is the load shed It will give me a value.

If the breaker is tripping from the ATS switching over. And some sort of Locked rotor on MCC combination. Tripping breaker. I will have no value.

how about a latch relay?

wire the latch coil to the shunt trip circuit so they both are energized at the same time.
