Has anyone dealt with WattSaver dimmers?.....These things seem to be a pain when installed on a 3way..The HO called it a poor mans dimming sytem but the his house is well over a couple million $....We dont have them all in so we have not turned anything on yet....Just looks like it could turn into a nightmare....Any advice other than run would be helpful...

I've put in a couple WattStopper dimmers in a hotel. They worked well, but they've only been in service since the spring. Do you have a link to the ones you're talking about? I haven't heard of them.

This is a letter response to a letter that was queried by K8MHZ.
He posted this letter on the forum here .

I know it's doesn't say dimmer but its is watt stopper and lists the direct access points for feature query's on your part, if you feel the need.
Hope this helps!

Edit for Spelling ...

Your right it is WattStopper.....They have the reg dimmers, multilocation(for 3ways), room scene controls, and home scene controls.....apparently working of RF...The 3ways in the house were wired normal however you need a hot, SL, and nuetral at every switch therefore causing me to resplice the 3ways that arent technically 3ways...I didnt start the trim and I think I would of deviced the house out with toggle swithes first to turn things on and test it out before installing all these costly switches....I feel it would be easieer to troubleshoot any problems with toogle switches....The other thing I was concerned about is what if a circuit has a short in it...Would it possibly ruin the dimmers on that ckt?

Oh, okay. For that reason, I have no reason to think you'll have anything other than good luck with them. I've certainly had good luck with WattStopper stuff, in general.

Probably, if it's on the load side, but that's true for pretty much any dimmer.
