I have a client as me about direct bury cables for his EV chargers, i have no experience with UF type cables.
Does anyone have any experience using direct bury cables for EV? other then the bury depth code, are there other NEC codes to look out for?
what are they cable types to use for this?

commercial
180kw DCFC all in ones
238A x 125%= 297A load for cable sizing

There is no UF for 300 amps. I would do it in conduit, but I suppose you could run 350-350-4/0 URD. I don't know if a code reason you couldn't.

yes i have always done it in conduit. but they were asking about it to save money. i took a look at the urd cable and the charger is 3 phase so i would have to do the quadruplex 3/0, 3/0, 3/0, &c 3/0 AL and parallel it. is URD aluminum only? and its not in the nec?

It’s dual rated. Rhhw-2 and use-2.
Yes to copper but if they are trying to save money then copper is not an option
