When running a circuit outdoors in direct sunlight (not on a rooftop) what ambient temperature do I use? Can I go by the 2% Design Temperature for my area as listed in the ASHRAE table or do I use the maximum recorded temperature? I assume the inspector has to go by some standard?. The 2% design temperature for my city is 95 degrees, and the max recorded temperature is 105.

I asked this question about a week ago, but didn?t get any replies.

I would really appreciate any response.

I would say that you can use the ASHRAE handbook fundamentals to get the ambient temperature for your area and use that number to do your temperature adjustments.
