Anyone have this problem or a solution? Was sorting out things in the van and the partially used boxes of plugs and switches, especially decora style and especially white, get dirty and won't even clean up with a cleaner, some of them. I have new decora switches with black marks on them that won;t come off.

I do not have an answer for cleaning them, but I used zip lock baggies to protect them when I had a service van.

Don't laugh, but Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works for me, for the faceplates, switches, receptacles and any customer's walls that I smudge up. Just wet it a little bit, and it gets dirt off almost anything.

Thanks for the replies. I'll try both. Wife says Mr Clean is pretty good. She uses my gojo for laundry spots sometimes.

I just toss them. I hate it but it is not worth the effort

Give them to the local trade school. They always need stuff. You think they look bad now, wait until the students are finished with them. Write them off your taxes as charitable donation.

The closest school is 40 miles away- it would cost me more to take them there and they get stuff donated to them
