They want to delete the section of 760.121(B) that forbids the supply of the circuit through gfci or afci.
I can understand their argument about the NFPA 72, but I do not agree with their logic. The proposall is ASSUMING that other codes will automatically be adopted , and basing their requirements on that. Even though Im sure NFPA 72 is USED WIDELY for fire alarms, its just bad practice to depend on other 'standards' that would need to be adopted to ensure safety.
