Discharging capacitors

I've got a number of capacitors to discharge - these would be from a 1000 - 2000 amp 3 phase 480 volt main switchgear unit. There are 6 main switchgear units that are each fed from its own xfmr. Power will be shut off from each corrresponding xfmr. Each main switchgear has a capacitor bank one cap for each phase I would guess for opening and closing the main switch. So I believe each set of switchgear would have one capacitor bank that needs to be discharged.

I've been told most power factor correction caps would have a phase to phase to phase resistor built in so it may be self-discharging.

I've got some ideas on this, but I would appreciate any insight on to how you guys would do this.

Edit: its a demo job but they want to resell the switchgear.
