Hi,
I read the articles 404.8 and 240.24. and I'm not sure which article is the best for me.
Often, we do not have the choice of the control panel location.
It could be over 6 feet from the floor. The disconnect could be located between 8 to 10 feet from the floor.
When the disconnect is inside the control panel, integrated to the unit, I think I can use :
240.24 Location in or on Premises ((2) For supplementary overcurrent protection, as describedin 240.10.)
When the disconnect is outside the control panel but on the unit, I can use :
404.8 Accessibility and Grouping.Exception No. 2: Switches and circuit breakers installed
adjacent to motors, appliances, or other equipment that
they supply shall be permitted to be located higher than
2.0 m (6 ft 7 in.) and to be accessible by portable means.
Am I right ?
