I'm kinda flying blind as i have been unable to get sheets on the machines to be installed.. On that note, for a wall mounted dental X-ray unit 120volt 20amp circuit, will a 20A single pole switch be sufficient?
If so, are the 'controls' for the machine typically considered to be the push button to activate the machine normally located outside of the X-ray room (and therefore the location also for the disconnectin means)? 517.72(B) 2005ed.

The dental equipment installers will work all that out with the LV controllers.
Generally , yes the switch or outlet is fine, inside. The controller is outside for obvious reasons.
The owner or contractor should have a phone number for the installers. They we're very helpful to me.

Okay, Great. This project is more in the hands of an interior design firm than a dentist so getting a switch should be easier than an outlet and the ugly dangly cords that go with it.

Finally met the dental equipment supplier and questioned him about where the disconnects should go. His response was "what disconnects?" we just installed 6 units today and didn't have any. Is that a new requirement?" Guess it's going to be one of those kind of jobs..
