Article 410.130 says fluorescent fixtures are required to have a disconnect for an office building. Ok no problem a single pole switch works. Then it says multiwire branch circuits that feed fluorescent fixtures must have a disconnect that disconnects all circuit conductors and the neutral. Single pole light switches no longer work here. How would this be accomplished and has anyone seen this done? Just thinking how to implement this for a large scale office building with fluorescent light fixtures most likely on MWBC.

Install these:

What is that? Looks like a single hot and single neutral. Would this do all MWBC conductors and the neutral?
Does this make sense in terms of the code references? :
The circuit disconnect (like a switch for multiple fixtures maybe?) must disconnect all wires of the MWBC. The fixture disconnect only need to handle the wires that are connected to something in the fixture?

These connectors are pretty standard on all fluorescent lights. Just unplug the 2 pieces and you have a disconnect to safely work on the ballast.

its so that you dont have to break apart the circuit to service one fixture possibly leaving an office building or other such dwelling in the dark, when the guy before you didn't twist his wires and you undo that wirenut .what infinity posted is what "most" new fluorescent tube fixtures are supplied with which complies

The requirement is that it disconnects the circuit to the ballast not the entire MWBC.

410.130(G)(2) Multiwire Branch Circuits. When connected to mul-
tiwire branch circuits, the disconnecting means shall simul-
taneously break all the supply conductors to the ballast,
including the grounded conductor.
