Can a breaker in site of the hot tub, be considered a disconnect? 680.12 says to disconnect all ungrounded conductors, and to be within site. Thank you for your help.

(IMO) Yes, as long as it is between 5 to 50 feet away from water's edge and readily accessible.

as long as the breaker is designed to disconnect all ungrounded conductors.....such as 2 pole if its 240v or single pole if its 120v.

Do not forget it has to be a GFCI breaker for a hot tub

The hot tub supply requires GFCI protection. It does not have to be provided by the within sight disconnect.
