Would be curious to know what you would provide for a 120V disconnect at heated emergency shower, outside.

I used to call for a Thermal Switch. I think I'm dating myself in so doing. As the closest thing I can find to that is a manual motor starter. I don't need a manual motor starter just a switch suitable to act as a local disconnect.

Seems to me a motor rated switch in an STI enclosure would suffice. What do you think?

A simple heavy-duty toggle switch with a W/P cover.

Or a non-fused W/P switch if you want an industrial look.

ditto. Shouldn't need a HP rating if not supplying a motor either, though nothing prohibits using a motor rated switch either. And no need for one with any overload function.
