Disconnect required for each pole for sports field lighting?

Does the 2011 NEC require a separate disconnect for each pole light for a softball field. 6 lights on each pole with 1500 Watt Metal halide bulbs. Do the breakers in the distribution panel that feeds these poles need to be HID rated?

Take a look at 225.32 exception #3.

If you are using the CB as light switches, I would say the answer is yes.
