Is it required to have a disconnect ahead of a generator transfer switch that i would like to install between a CT cabinet(outside) and the main panel located just on the other side of the wall. I have limited space to do this without making a big ordeal. The service is a 400 amp 120/208v 3phase and I did not see a 400amp generator transfer switch listed with an integral disconnect like I do with for example a 200amp type siemens/generac.
