Hello everyone,

I'm working on a project that will require replacing the computer room air condition (CRAC) which it comes with integral disconnect switch. The manufacturer required minimum of 36-inch in front of the equipment. There will be a new switchboard will be added to that room as well. I will have 38-inch in front of the integral disconnect switch to the side of the switchboard. The switchboard (480V) is only front access. Do I still need to have 42-inch in front of the integral switch? The CRAC unit is 480V.

Thanks,

What is the opposite surface material, grounded such as metal or is it drywall?
IE the material you are measuring 42" to.

The opposite surface material is metal (switchboard side, 35-inch deep). The switchboard doesn't have side access, only fron and rear access.
