Can I use a disconnect for my service outlet? I have a HVAC unit that needs a service outlet and wanted to pull the service outlet circuit in with it.

They make a wp disconnect box that has a gfci built in it. Hard to see but at the top is a pull out.

I have already installed the disconnect. I just didn't know if it is a code violation to use the disconnect as a pathway.
