We have an industrial Facility. They require 32 amp outlets @ 480 volt 3 phase, to be located on the exterior of the building. At different locations. These outlets have a mechanical interlock built in. Does the disconnecting means have to be within site of these outlets or can they be inside the building marked accordingly.

Inside the building should be OK. It sounds like these are general purpose drops.

rk, If these are used for portable refrigeration units your receptacles are your disconnects and should be OK to have your breakers for each one inside. Most units that have have seen like these also have some type of disconnect on the unit.
