Hi,
I'm working on the design of an industrial machinery with a main control panel built according to UL 508A and several sub-panels. Power is supplied to the main control panel, from this main panel the power is then distributed to the sub-panels which are located along the machine several feets away. The main panel is provided with a disconnecting means according to article 30 of UL 508A and 5.1.9 of NFPA 79.
Since each sub-panel is an industrial control panel according to UL 508A, does it need to have its own disconnecting means according to article 30 of UL 508A?
These would be "additional disconnecting means" for the machinery according to article 5.2 of NFPA79. Each sub-panel has its own enclosure and requires the use of a tool to access live parts according to 6.2.3.1 of NFPA79.

(I apologize for any mistakes, English is not my native language)
