430.128 NEC 2011 - Does this imply that disconnect does not have to be withing sight of soft start/vfd. In our application we are relocating a soft start/vfd to the opposite side of a mcc cabinet but the main breaker/disconnect is staying in its original location which is within sight of the motor. However, you have to walk around a mcc to access the cabinet containing the soft start/vfd. Is the soft start/vfd cabinet required to have a disconnecting means with it as well or is the main breaker ok?

430.102(A) requires the disconnect to be within sight from the soft start or the VFD. There is nothing in 430.128 that changes this rule.
