Hello all,

as a german engineer i have a lots of trouble understanding the NEC requirements because it's a bit confusing.

I try to figure out which types of disconnect means are needed in a pv installation and now i've some questions you may help me with:

1. Article 690.13 points to PV-supplied buildings. Does that mean, that this article does not include PV systems which are installed on buildings but do not supply them (e.g. PV Systems connected to the grid)?
2. One exception in 690.15 allows connectors to be used as dc disconnecting means. On the other side 690.15(B) says, that the dc disconnecting means has to simultaneously opened. How does that fit?
3. During a trip to the US I saw some installations, where MC4-type connectors were used as dc disconnecting means. Is this generally allowed?

Thanks for your help, Holger
