Have a building with a solar system with battery storage. system is on the grid. main AC disconnect on the exterior of the building feeds MDP. solar panel disconnect on the exterior of the building. panel "B" is fed from the MDP through 3 SMA inverters. the inverters are fed from a battery bank which is charged by the solar panel charge controller.if there is an emergency situation and the exterior disconnects are turned OFF the inverters are still fed from the battery bank and panel "B" is still sending power to all the lighting and mechanical systems in the building.does there not have to be an exterior AC Disconnecting means to kill the power to panel"B"

If there are multiple sources, and they're not grouped together, you'll have to post a permanent plaque or directory to say so. 690.35(F) also refers to labeling.

IMO the NEC doesn't require it. But local jurisdictions and fire-departments often have their own rules on these things.

The relevant labeling requirement is 690.56 (A). Also the requirements of 690.10 Stand Alone Systems apply to the secondary AC output of the system, although they don't affect your question.
