I'm probably as guilty as anyone in not following the rules, and I've known many electricians going even more rogue. I usually reach for about any decent leathers I can find when meter testing 480/277 circuits, mostly because I've seen a guy take a hit due to issues with his meter leads.
Proper class 00 gloves can be a real pain regarding dexterity and I know several electricians that just use leathers.
I don't usually get in situations working hot 480V, but commonly end up inside hot panels. Are there any gloves that meet the need and still have good practical dexterity to them?
