Dish Network

I have a probelm with a reciever at my house. There are some switches inside the reciever that keep going out and the Techs. that come out tell me that there is a electrical back feed coming through to the reciever and making these switches go out and have to be replaced. I have noticed that when we are watching televission or a movie that we recorded we see what looks like electrical surgers (white lines across the screen) every time the condensing unit comes on. The dish that is mounted to the roof on my house is about 12' away from the condensing unit. Could the probelm be because the dish on the roof is with in 12' of the condensing unit and when the compressor starts a frequency wave briefly interrupts the signal to the dish and I get an electrical surge (white lines across the screen) on my televission? If you could help it would be appericated very much.

I doubt it is anything that scientific. More likely an inrush current when the compressor starts.

Shut the compressor off and see if the event still happens...
